Account & Data Deletion

1. How to request deletion

• By email (recommended): send a deletion request from your registered email address to admin@asaslabs.com with the subject “Account deletion”.
• From within the app: if you are signed in, contact us through the app to request deletion of your account.

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, so that we do not delete data on the instruction of someone other than the account holder.

3. What gets deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the personal data associated with your account, including your profile details, saved signatures, uploaded documents and the documents you sent, subject to the retention exceptions below.

4. What we may retain, and why

• Billing, invoicing and tax records, for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law.
• Limited records and audit trails where retention is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, to preserve evidence of a completed signing transaction, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
• Backups, which are overwritten on a rolling basis; data in backups is deleted as backups cycle out.

5. How long it takes

We action verified deletion requests within 30 days. Residual copies in routine backups are removed within the normal backup-rotation cycle thereafter. We will confirm by email once your request has been completed.

6. Team and organisation accounts

If your account is the owner of an organisation (tenant) with other members, deleting it may affect those members and shared documents. Contact us at admin@asaslabs.com so we can help transfer ownership or coordinate the deletion appropriately.
